Great place for a taste of JapanWe really enjoy their sushi, sashimi, and salads that can come with sashimi included. All of the ingredients seem fresh and enjoyable. We recommend the seafood salad during the lunch hour.

Beside the ramen noodles are instant noodles , everything else is ok. Price is not cheapNeed ramen( instant noodles) is 14.95 dollars

Food presentation was good. Great flavor, a decent selection from the menu. Some waiters are friendly, definitely can get a good laugh.

Always my go to sushi restaurant for Fairbanks! Both restaurants are always clean and I’ve never had a bad experience eating there. Highly recommend!

This place is definitely a decent place to get sushi. While my friend always dotes on their stir fry and lo mien dishes because he is too chicken to try to sushi, I have not tried those. The prices are reasonable and everything has always tasted fresh.

My food was delicious as always!! Good service here. I had a hiccup with my fire roll where there was a hole in the foil boat (meaning lighter fluid leaked into my sushi roll). So they remade my sushi without question. Very great service. Be careful with chopsticks when eating a fire roll! Be sure not to poke holes in the foil!

Good sushi. I don't have lots of experience eating out with sushi, but it seemed maybe a little pricey. A lot of rolls were in the $15-20 range. Like I said, I'm not an expert in these things though.

Fantastic meals! Large portions! Servers are always courteous, polite and smiling. Been here 2 times and will return before I fly out tomorrow. Highly recommended to eat here! Place does not disappoint!

Giving them 2 stars for great service and taste of food. They would have gotten more stars but the prices are too high for what comes out. The rolls I ordered were primarily filled with imitation crab and hardly anything else, such a let down.

The service was quick and very good, the menu offers lot of options, the quality of the food is high but expensive.

We've gone twice to try the food out . Our first experience was good, nothing like oh my God, we found a new lunch spot, but it was ok. The second time I got horrible stomach pains and I'm sure it was a touch of food poisoning. I'm not gonna chance it again

Every time I'm in Fairbanks I have to come to Irashai for their salmon bowl. Their sushi hits all the right notes, and nobody beats them for freshness and presentation.Seriously, go for the Instagram pics but come back for the kind of food you'll want to go out to eat for years to come.

Delicious place to get some quality sushi🍣!! The bento box C I ordered was just a wonderful meal!! It gives you just enough of everything to give you a great meal and a taste for many foods. If you want to have some delicious sushi while visiting Fairbanks Alaska I recommend trying Irashai for some nicely made food.

I did a sushi taste test one week while I was visiting Fairbanks and Irashai is the best of the 5 restaurants I visited for sashimi. Their sashimi was the best in terms of quality and they are very generous with their cuts. The downside is that the menu only has 4 piece orders so it's tough to have a big variety and only get what you want. Their sashimi dinner includes stuff I don't like, which is unfortunate. One unique item on their menu that I really enjoy are their sashimi salads. They have a few different ones and the two that I've tried are great. Some people have said that Irashai is slightly more expensive but I ordered roughly the same thing at each of the 5 restaurants and all of the tabs were within $5 of each other. I didn't look at the rolls that closely so I can't comment on that.

This is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants, the food is amazing, the service is excellent and speedy, and the atmosphere is really, really nice, I love the decor. If you don't specifically enjoy sushi they do have different types of ramen as an option which happen to be my favorite dish.

Good service, enjoyed food.

I usually go here with friends, but recently I started going by myself. I started sitting at the sushi bar instead, and I got to meet the amazing staff up close. They have great sushi chefs, friendly staffs and really generous owner. He always makes sure everything is going well. I love the fact that he would recommend a good pair of sake with a meal. This place never fail to meet my expectations. So if you guys are up to meeting great people that provides great service and amazing food, I highly recommend this place. P.s. try the cold green Apple sake!!! It's amazing if not, ask for pickled onion that looks like garlic(you have to ask for it because it's not on the menu!)Anyways, I love this place!

Very surprised to find this place on first day in Alaska. Menu was outstanding and prices were lower than I expected. I'll be visiting here many times during my stay in Fairbanks.

Not very good. Tables are very cramped and the music was annoying. Rather than bring out all the rolls you've ordered on one plate, they bring them out one at a time which creates a rushed feeling since th table is too tiny to fit more than a couple plates on. Sushi was pretty unremarkable. I would not go here again

Don't trust those fake reviews for this place. Extremely disappointing food and service. Ordered "Chicken Karage", and got 6 pieces of tiny chicken strips in Orange Sauce chicken. Two premium sushi rolls were made with soggy plain rice, guess they never heard of sushi rice or how to process stramed rice for use of sushi. Seafood in the rolls do not taste fresh either.

This place has super friendly staff, a sushi bar area to sit at and watch the chefs or order your food to go, great food (large portions too), great cozy atmosphere with fascinating decor. Absolutely grateful that Fairbanks has this restaurant! WELL worth the price.

I would say a 2.5 stars. Their Internet was down and they said that made everything slow, but we waited forever to even get edamame. We watched one group of 4 people walk out, it seemed like this was because they didn't get service. The food was good, not great, and overpriced in my opinion. I can say we likely won't be going back anytime soon.
